About Aron Schüler
Welcome to my personal blog! I’m Aron Schüler, a Fullstack Developer from Cologne, Germany.
I am currently employed as a Fullstack Developer at Ambient Innovation: GmbH, where I contribute to amazing projects in both frontend and backend development.
At Ambient, we focus on crafting sophisticated Web Applications. Notable projects include the creation of customer portals for mobile network providers and energy utilities. My main focus on the Frontend development extends to the development of robust Backend Systems and Content Management Systems (CMS) using Django and Wagtail. Our references can be found on the Ambient website.
Embracing DevOps principles, I also integrate Gitlab CI/CD into the development process for effective testing, building, and deployment. Additionally, I have hands-on experience in setting up Kubernetes clusters for application deployment and ensuring the maintenance and care of AWS services for each built application. Our deployment usually involves building Docker images and deploying them to a Kubernetes cluster, which in turn is managed by Rancher and described in Helm Charts.
My current and exciting project involves the design, development, and deployment of a customer portal for the largest Swiss mobile network provider. This multifaceted project incorporates a React Frontend and the integration of two external Backend Systems. The APIs are meticulously designed following REST principles and documented with Swagger. I take pride in maintaining a live environment monitored for errors and performance using Sentry, while ensuring seamless deployment through GitLab CI/CD.
In my free time, I write about encountered problems and solutions in my daily work on my personal blog. I also host the CologneJS Meetup, where we get to hear super interesting talks and host lean coffee discussions about the latest trends in the JavaScript ecosystem.
